2nd Meeting of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for WRC-19 (APG19-2)

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) will organize the 2nd Meeting of the APT Conference Preparatory Group for World Radiocommunication Conference 2019 (APG19-2) from 17 to 21 July 2017 in Bali, Republic of Indonesia. The meeting will be hosted by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), Republic of Indonesia.

Objectives and Expected Outcomes:
The objectives of the APG19-2 as agreed by APG19-1 held last year in Chengdu, People’s Republic of China are as follows:

  • to review the Working Methods of APG; 
  • to review issues associated with each WRC-19 Agenda item; 
  • to finalise appointment of drafting group chairs for individual WRC-19 Agenda items including associated issues under Agenda item 9.1;
    to consider the results of studies of ITU-R Study Groups and any information provided by AWG in relation to WRC-19 Agenda items, and take necessary actions as appropriate; 
  • to develop, to the extent practicable, preliminary views for each WRC-19 Agenda item based on contributions from APT Members; and 
  • to review and revise, as appropriate, the APG work plan including the tentative schedule of meetings.

APG19-2 is expected to achieve the following outcomes:

  • Finalisation of the proposed modifications to Working Methods of APG;
  • Preliminary views of each WRC-15 Agenda Item to the extent practicable;
  • Objectives and expected outcomes of APG19-3; and
  • Revisions to the APG work plan for the preparation of WRC-19, if any.

Participation and Registration:

All APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members and International/Regional Organizations can attend the meeting by registering online. Member Administrations and International/Regional Organizations are requested to send the official List of Delegations for the meeting and to nominate Head of Delegation (HoD) and Alternate HoD. If any APT Affiliate Member is included in the National Delegation, please clearly mention in the List of Delegation.

Participation of Non-Members: Non-Members can attend the meeting with “Observer” status by paying Registration Fee of USD $500 per person. Non-Member participants under National Delegation are exempted from paying the Registration Fee upon submission of a letter of nomination signed by the responsible officer of the Administration. Above requirement does not apply to the host country participation. Please contact APT Secretariat for the payment methods of the Registration Fees.

Registration of delegates can be done online at http://www.apt.int/content/online-registration. In order to take preparation and making logistic arrangements it is suggested to register on or before 1 July 2017.
 
Submission of Contribution: 

Contributions for the meeting from APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members, regional and International Organizations are welcome. You are requested to use the proper document template for your contribution. Please refer to the ‘Contribution Guidelines’ for detail process of submitting the contribution. Contributions will be posted on APT Website prior to the starting of the meeting.
