Information Security Expert Group (IS)

Objectives:
The Group on Information Security (IS) was established to:

• Survey of Security Issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Promotion of exchange of views and strong relationships on Information Security related topics in the Asia-Pacific region
• Contribution to standardization activities on Information Security in international standardization organizations such as ITU-T and the Asia-Pacific region countries.
• Provide assistance to the ITU-T SG17 Questions such as:
  • Communications systems security (Q4/17)
  • Security architecture and framework (Q5/17)
  • Cyber security (Q6/17)
  • Security management (Q7/17)
  • Telebiometrics (Q8/17)
  • Secure communication services (Q9/17)
  • Countering SPAM by technical means (Q17/17)
