Next Generation Networks Expert Group (NGN)

Objective
The Group on Next Generation Networks (NGN) was established to:

  • Finalize the responses to a questionnaire on migration to packet networks.
  • Submit APT contributions to the ITU-T, based on the questionnaire responses.
  • Share information (based on the responses) with member countries on migration to packet networks.
  • Study the integrated management aspects of NGN.
  • Study the mobile network management function of NGN.
  • Organize a seminar/workshop on NGN.
  • Study the Next Generation Operation Support System (NGOSS).

Survey on Service Management
This survey is intended to ascertain the interest in service management in terms of service provider experience, development and trends. Responses from this survey will be submitted to the next SNO group meeting which is scheduled to take place in the beginning of 2007 in Brazil.
