The First APT Wireless Forum Meeting was held from 7 th to 9 th September 2004 in Busan, Republic of Korea. The meetings are being organized by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and hosted by the Ministry of Information and Communication (MIC), Republic of Korea.
Click here for Press Release issued on 10 September 2004 Being the successor and renewal of APT IMT-2000 Forum (APTIF), AWF is not only covering the aspects of IMT-2000 systems but also the various aspects of emerging wireless systems to meet the upcoming digital convergence era for the Asia-Pacific region. In the first meeting AWF will report and present its activities and progress in works up to the date. The meeting will assist the process of bringing the cost effective telecommunication and information infrastructure to the developing countries of Asia-Pacific region through introducing various radiocommunication technologies. The Regional Seminal on Broadband Wireless Access for Asia Pacific Region (supported by APT) was held on 10 th September 2004 in Busan, Republic of Korea. The seminar is organized by ITU, supported by APT and hosted by MIC. The objective of the seminar is to discuss the wireless broadband program and technology, system implementation, standards, regulatory aspects and regional cooperation for developing wireless broadband in context of the Asia Pacific region. |
