APT/ITU WORKSHOP on ENUM and IDN
21-22 May, 2004

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT)  organized the Workshop on ENUM  on 21 May and the Workshop on IDN on 22 May  in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam. The Workshop was jointly organised by ITU and the experts on these subjects from ITU, IETF and the industry will speak at the Workshop.  

The objectives of the Workshop were:

	To create an awareness and a wider understanding on ENUM & IDN issues;
	To review the current status in the Asia Pacific region;
	To review the global implementation of ENUM;
	To assess the Asia Pacific needs and readiness for the implementation of ENUM;
	To discuss the management of Internet domain names – Multilingual or Homogeneous?
	To promote the govenment private sector partnership
	To review technical and interoperability issues;
	To agree upon future direction
