APT Telecom Industry and Users Forum

The APT Telecom Industry and Users Forum was held in conjunction with CommunicAsia 2004 in Singapore from 15th to 16th of June, 2004.              

The telecommunications sector is now faced with many challenges and opportunities from the newly emerging developments supporting the growth of new telecommunication platforms and the Information Society.  Many of the leading carriers of the region are now looking at new business strategies to promote growth and reduce risks.             

The APT Industry and Users Forum is being organized to identify the issues and to possible actions to:

bulletminimize barriers to new telecommunication business opportunities
bulletprovide mitigating strategies to minimize operational risk
bulletprovide a platform for enhanced regional cooperation
Many of the telecommunication operating companies are now privatized, and in order to establish themselves as successful businesses, are looking for appropriate market strategies and partnerships. The APT Telecom Industry and Users Forum will facilitate finding solutions to the issues faced by the industry and will provide an excellent opportunity for networking and establishing new relationships among senior executives.   The APT Telecom Industry and Users Forum will have the deliberations facilitated by leading telecommunication executives from the region and panelists drawn also from across the region.   This is also your opportunity to provide guidance and input to the APT activities, ASTAP, Policy and Regulations Forum and Study Groups, which are focused on supporting telecommunications development.
