SECOND APT PREPARATORY MEETING FOR WTSA-2004
EIGHTH APT STANDARDIZATION PROGRAM FORUM
WORKSHOP ON NEXT GENERATION NETWORKS
2 - 6 August 2004, Hyderabad, India
The Second APT Preparatory Meeting for WTSA-2004, Eighth APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-8) and Workshop on Next Generation Networks (WS/NGN) were held from 2 to 6 August 2004 in Hyderabad, India. The Meetings were organized by the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and hosted by Department of Telecommunications (DOT), India.
The Second APT Preparatory Meeting for WTSA-2004 was held from 2 to 3 August 2004. The objective of this meeting is to develop further proposals and positions that have a greater chance of success at the WTSA through the support of a number of APT members.
The Eighth APT Standardization Program Forum was held during 4 and 6 August 2004. The main objective of the forum is to review the progress of the ASTAP Expert Groups since the seventh ASTAP Forum in Seoul, Republic of Korea and to have discussion on new topics or proposals for expert groups that need to be handled by ASTAP in order to establish regional cooperation on standardization.
The Workshop on Next Generation Networks was held in the morning session of 4 August 2004. The objective of the workshop is to discuss the migration strategies for the next generation networks and to share the regional and global experiences.
