Workshop on CERT Best Practices
27-29 September 2004, Hua Hin, Thailand
APTorganized a workshop on "CERT Best Practices" in Hua Hin, Thailand from 27 to 29 September 2004, where IT security experts,
managers and policy makers from the Member countries, International and
Regional organizations will be present.
The workshop will provide an opportunity for the
participants to understand the risks involved and strategies to protect their
networks and data bases from security threats. The workshop will also promote
the cooperation among members for improving their Emergency response
capabilities by sharing experiences and networking.
A seminar on Network Security Management and Positive
Use of the Internet organized by APT in August 2003 in Malaysia and attended by
over 80
participants representing APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members,
International Organizations and the private sector made a recommendation to
organise a workshop on "CERT Best Practices"
and accordingly APT is organising the above workshop.
