Asia Pacific Telecommunications and ICT Development Forum (ADF)

The Asia Pacific Telecommunications and ICT Development Forum (ADF) was held at the Goa Marriott Resort in Goa, India from 18 to 21 July 2005.

The objectives are :

To follow-up the implementation of Bangkok Agenda. This was adopted at the Ministerial Conference on Broadband and ICT Development last July 2004;
To identify the barriers to telecommunication and ICT development in the Asia-Pacific region and to suggest a way forward;
To promote the development of telecommunication and ICT Infrastructure by sharing the development projects and technologies adopted by members, including the projects under APT HRD Programme for Exchange of ICT Researchers and Engineers; and
To discuss preparation for APT inputs to WTDC-06.
