Symposium on Network Security and SPAM

The Symposium on Network Security and SPAM was held from 22 to 24 August 2005 at the Ballroom of the Aryaduta Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia . The Symposium is being organized by the Asia Pacific Telecommunity, and hosted by Directorate General of Posts and Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications and Informatics, Indonesia.

The objectives of the Symposium are to promote the need for network security, increase the awareness of the harmful effects of SPAM, and promote regional and international cooperation on SPAM. Practical case studies, and effective mechanisms to tackle SPAM and improve internet security will be discussed. The Symposium will also provide a platform for the participants to share their experiences and learn from each other's experience.
