Workshop on Broadband Wireless Technologies Toward Information Society

The Workshop on Broadband Wireless Technologies Toward Information Society will be held in Makati City, Philippines on 18 March 2005 which is to organized jointly by Asia-Pacific Telecommunity and to be hosted by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology, Government of the Philippines. The workshop will be supported by the Extra Budgetary Contribution from Japan.

The workshop objectives will address the comprehensive development needs and issues on telecommunications, ICT and Broadband Infrastructure Development in the Asia-Pacific region. The event will bring policy makers and regulators from the governments, service providers, consumers and manufacturers together to understand the policies in promoting ICT Broadband services in Philippines regarding trends on wireless technology, broadband services and to share information on wireless solutions suitable in rural areas in order to eliminate the digital gap.
