The AWF Interim Meeting 2008 (AWF-IM4)
is scheduled to be held from 04-05 March, 2008 and the 1st APT
Conference Preparatory Group Meeting for WRC-2011 (APG2011-1)
will be held from 06 to 08 March, 2008 at Amari Watergate Hotel
in Bangkok, Thailand. The meetings are being organized and hosted
by the Asia Pacific Telecommunity.
The objectives of the AWF Interim
Meeting are to revise the progress of work since 4th AWF Meeting
and to provide some interim decisions. The objective of the APG2011-1
Meeting is to review APG activities for WRC-07 and outcomes of
WRC-07 and CPM2011-1, to form new APG structure and to develop
new work plan for the preparation of WRC-2011.
All APT Members, Associate Members,
Affiliate Members, Eligible Non-Members and International/Regional
Organizations can attend the meetings by completing the Attendance
Form. Non-Members can attend the meetings with “Observer”
status by paying Registration Fee of US$ 250 per person. Non-Member
participants under National Delegation are exempted from paying
the Registration Fee upon submission of a letter of nomination
signed by the responsible officer of the Administration Above
requirement does not apply to the host country participation.
HOTEL
ACCOMMODATION:
The meeting venue, Amari Watergate Hotel, is also recommended
for all participants to stay during the meeting. Please make sure
you book through APT Secretariat, not directly to the hotel. The
rates are (including buffet breakfast and service charge and VAT):
• Deluxe Rooms: Single (THB. 3,000) and Twin (THB. 3,200)
• Grand Deluxe Rooms: Single (THB. 4,000) and Twin (THB.
4,200)
• Executive Rooms: Single/Twin THB. 6,500
Due to peak tourist season
of Thailand during the meeting period, you are kindly requested
to send your Attendance Form for finalizing the hotel reservation
and other necessary arrangement to the APT
Secretariat by Monday, 11 February 2008.
APT Secretariat may not be able to guarantee hotel reservation
after the closing date.
CONTRIBUTIONS:
Contributions from APT members,
associate members, affiliate members, regional and international
organization are welcome for the meetings. You are requested to
use the proper document template for your contribution. Document
templates for all meetings are available at the meeting website.
Please carefully read the instructions written on the template.
Contributions will be posted on
APT Website prior to the starting of the meetings. Last
date of receipt your contributions by APT
Secretariat is Friday, 29 February 2008. Any input
contribution for APG after this closing date will not be considered.

In order to facilitate efficient
meeting management and document handling process APT encourages
the use of electronic documents during the meeting. A limited
number of hardcopies of the documents will be prepared for distribution
prior to and during meeting. Electronic copies of the meeting
documents will be available in CDs as well as on line. Hardcopy
of the documents will be provided only upon request. Members are
encouraged to carry their Laptop computers for the meeting. Those
who need hardcopy of the documents are requested to mention it
in the attendance form.
