The Fifteenth APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-15) and The 29th APT Study Groups Meeting (SG-29)

The Fifteenth APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-15) and the 29th APT Study Groups Meeting (SG-29) were held from 9 to 11 March 2009 and 12 to 13 March 2009 respectively in Bangkok, Thailand.

The objective of the Fifteenth APT Standardization Program Forum included reviewing progress of the ASTAP Expert Groups since the 14th ASTAP Forum; considering standardization and strategic initiatives including implementation of the ASTAP Strategic Plan (2009-2011) and reviewing of WTSA-08 outcome.

The objectives of the 29th Study Group Meeting were to discuss the progress of the study and approve the final reports of the study questions for study cycle 2008 – 2009 and to discuss the way forward for the Study Group activities. For the Study Cycle 2008 – 2009 five individual study groups are working under APT Study Group:

Study Group 1: Telecommunication / ICT Strategies and Policies
Study Group 2: Infrastructures and Networks
Study Group 3: Application, Operation and User Issues
Study Group 4: Broadband and Future Technologies
Study Group 5: ICT Security.
