16th ASTAP Forum
30th APT Study Groups Meeting

The Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) organized the Industry Workshop on 24 August 2009, Sixteenth APT Standardization Program Forum (ASTAP-16) from 25 to 27 August 2009 and the 30th APT Study Groups Meeting (SG-30) on 28 August 2009 in Macao, China.

The objective of the Industry Workshop includes collaboration with Industries from APT members and enhancement of Industries and APT Affiliate members participation in ASTAP activities.

The objective of the Sixteenth APT Standardization Program Forum includes reviewing progress of the ASTAP Expert Groups since the 15th ASTAP Forum; considering standardization and strategic initiatives including implementation of the ASTAP Strategic Plan (2009-2011) and reviewing the report of the Ad-hoc group for harmonization of ASTAP and Study Groups.

The objectives of the 30th Study Group Meeting discussed the progress of the study and approve the final reports of the study questions for study cycle 2008 – 2009. The Study Groups meeting will also discuss on the relationship with ASTAP and the way forward and future direction of the Study Groups activities.
