The 8th Meeting of the APT Wireless Forum (AWF-8) and Workshop on "Next Generation Mobile Communication'

The 8th Meeting of the APT Wireless Forum will be held from 29 March – 01 April 2010 in Tokyo, Japan. The meeting will be organized by the APT and hosted by Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication, Japan. A workshop on ‘Next General Mobile Communication’ will be organized after lunch break of 29th March 2010 as part of the AWF-8 meeting.
The APT Wireless Forum (AWF) is working on the issues on conventional and emerging wireless technologies. In its’ 8th meeting, the AWF will report and present its activities and progress of works up to the date.
All APT Members, Associate Members, Affiliate Members and International/Regional Organizations can attend the meetings by completing the Attendance Form. Please send your nominations by filling the attendance forms to APT Secretariat by fax: +66 2 573 7479, +66 2 574 4226 or by email: aptawf@apt.int on or before 12 March 2010. Please also check the participant’s information for the requirements of visa supporting letter. Non-Members can attend the meetings with “Observer” status by paying Registration Fee of US$250 per person.
Contributions from Member Administrations, Associate Member, Affiliate Members and International/Regional Organizations on agenda items are essential for the success of the meeting and workshop. Contributions should be submitted in electronic form preferably by email to APT Secretariat ( parvez@apt.int ) for proper documentation. Contributions should be prepared on the proper templates provided by APT Secretariat and in Microsoft Word and/or PowerPoint, English Version. Please check the contribution guidelines in the attached Participant Information. Closing date for sending your input contributions is on 22 March 2010. In order to facilitate meeting management and document handling process APT encourages the use of electronic documents during the meeting. Electronic copies of the meeting documents will be available in CDs as well as online. Members are encouraged to carry their Laptop computers for the meeting.
