SATRC Working Group on Policy, Regulation and Services (SATRC WG-PRS)

SATRC WG-PRS dealing with the issues related to telecommunication/ICT policy, regulation and services. For the implementation of Action Plan Phase IV for the years 2012-2014, WG-PRS is working on nine work itmes assigned by the the 13th Meeting of the SATRC. Following work items five are given priority in the work of WG-PRS during the implementation years 2012-2014. Work items are:

1. Strategies for Migration to IPv6 (Work Item no. PRS1)
2. Rationalization of Tax Structure in Telecommunication: Case of Mobile Operators (Work Item no. PRS2)
3. Application and Services in Broadband Network (Work Item no. PRS3)
4. Sustainable Broadband Network for SATRC Countries: Addressing the Issues of Interconnection and Backhaul Capacity (Work Item no. PRS4)
5. Roaming in SATRC Countries (Work Item no. PRS5)
6. Growth of Mobile Value Added Services (Work Item no. PRS8)
